Job Title: Strategic Risk Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Risk Manager to lead and manage independent projects across operational risk management areas.

  • This role involves leading and managing projects in operational risk management, including internal control assessments, SOP development, third-party risk management, incident management, loss data, and business continuity for financial institutions.
  • The successful candidate will develop detailed project plans for timely delivery and ensure ongoing monitoring of risk and control matrices.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and validate existing frameworks, policies, procedures, and risk and control matrices for theoretical soundness.
  • Identify changes to the risk profile and consider their impact on the heat map for risk rating.
  • Meet business needs and regulatory expectations for assessing key aspects of each area under review.
  • Demonstrate independence in planning and stakeholder engagement, testing design and execution, results interpretation, and presentation.
  • Provide regular updates on project execution and quality reviews.
  • Identify and emphasize findings that warrant discussions with Risk Management Committees.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 9-12 years of experience in operational risk management, with expertise in areas such as incident management, third-party risks, business continuity planning, loss data, fraud risk, internal controls, SOPs, and policies.
  • CA, ACCA, MBA, or any other relevant master's program.
  • Project Management and ORM certifications are preferred.
  • Ability to write and speak fluently in English.
  • Experience with GRC tools such as MetricStream, SAP GRC, etc. is beneficial.
Preferred Skills:
  • Deep understanding of global and Indian frameworks, methodologies, and standards on process risk and controls.
  • Very strong understanding of the financial services industry, businesses, regulators, and their roles.
  • Excellent MS-Excel, Word, and PPT skills.
