Our organization seeks an experienced and skilled program manager to oversee the delivery of software engineering projects and programs. Responsibilities:
- Program Strategy and Planning
- Define and manage the scope, goals, and roadmap of software programs in collaboration with engineering and product leadership.
- Lead program-level planning and prioritization to drive successful outcomes.
- Collaborative Execution
- Coordinate efforts across multiple software development teams and technical team members to facilitate milestone planning and progress tracking.
- Ensure cross-team understanding, visibility, and transparency throughout the program lifecycle.
- Delivery Management
- Monitor and report on project and program progress to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Promote delivery excellence through adherence to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and internal processes.
- Resolve delivery blockers, manage interdependencies, and escalate issues as needed.
- Team Member Communication
- Provide detailed updates on status, risks, and program decisions to all levels, including executives.
- Align all team members around important outcomes and delivery expectations.
- Risk and Issue Management
- Manage project and program issues proactively to maintain risk mitigation plans and contingency strategies.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field required.
- 5+ years of experience in program or project management in software engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, SAFe, or equivalent.
