Job Title: Manufacturing Operations Manager
About the Job">The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the production flow in the shop. This includes ensuring work distribution, monitoring Plan Vs. Actual, implementing 5S and prioritizing Safety in the workplace.
This role requires coordination with supporting departments to ensure seamless execution of plans.
Key Responsibilities:">- Shift Schedule Planning: Create weekly shift schedules based on workload requirements and ensure rotation of shifts among workforce.
- Communication: Conduct daily opening meetings to communicate plans to station teams.
- Work Progress Monitoring: Monitor work progress at each workstation and resolve issues promptly.
- Process Audits: Ensure AS9100, NADCAP, and QMS compliance by addressing audit observations and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Continuous Improvement: Develop skills in Poka-Yoke, Kaizen, cycle time reduction, material optimization, cost reduction, and Flow Time reduction.
- Assembly Drawing Skills: Read and understand assembly drawings, GD & T symbols, specifications, and technical documents required for manufacturing.
- Assembly Fixtures and Qualification: Understand various categories of assembly fixtures and their qualification and maintenance aspects.
- Assembly Processes: Possess implementation knowledge of sealants, fasteners, riveting, welding, and other assembly processes.
- Implementation Knowledge: Familiarity with 5S, Autonomous Maintenance, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and similar productivity improvement tools.
- Coordination: Collaborate with Production Planning, Maintenance, Quality, and Stores teams for timely resolution of issues and smooth workflow in the shop.
