  • We are seeking an Import Ocean Freight Manager to lead and manage our import ocean freight operations.\
  • You will be responsible for developing pricing strategies, negotiating rates with carriers, and maintaining strong relationships with shipping lines, co-loaders, and overseas agents.\
  • Your role will involve overseeing pre-alerts, booking coordination, documentation, customs compliance, and end-to-end import shipment handling.\
  • You will coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely cargo clearance and delivery.\
  • Ensuring compliance with all local and international import regulations, customs laws, and trade compliance requirements is essential.\
  • You will develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time for import processes.\
  • Mentoring and managing the import operations team is also a key aspect of this role.\
  • You will monitor departmental profitability, control costs, and prepare regular budgets.\
  • Collaborating with sales and business development teams to identify new opportunities and grow the import customer base is also required.\
  • Promoting high standards of customer service, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring consistent client satisfaction are essential.\
  • Generating regular management information reports (MIS) for senior management on import operations, cost efficiency, and process improvements is also part of this role.\
