**Job Description:**

This is an exciting opportunity for a Country Manager to join our team. As a Country Manager, you will be responsible for building and scaling our Ocean & Air product vertical in India. You will take ownership of one of the largest and most critical Profit & Loss statements in the company.

We are seeking a transformative leader who can shape procurement strategy, pricing, carrier partnerships, and commercial operations from the ground up. This is not a maintenance role – it's a build-and-scale mandate where you'll drive India's growth trajectory in the global network.

The successful candidate will have 15+ years of prior Ocean Freight experience at a top freight forwarder or carrier or 15+ years of supply chain experience and a BA/BS Degree. They will also have strategic vision, bias to action, process, structure, and data.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a very sizeable Ocean/Air P&L and team across America
  • Develop and maintain relations with ocean carrier partners including global and regional partners
  • Design, build, and price our Ocean/Air marketplace coverage
  • Execute Global Carrier Strategy and Development on Regional Trade Carrier Strategy
  • Procure competitive market rates, design products, and manage yield
  • Secure regional and global customers through tenders and RFQs
  • Actively support sales and marketing organization with market information, sales leads, and joint sales visit
  • Educate teams with trade-specific market knowledge and trade idiosyncrasies
  • Scale ocean and air freight for the biggest region
  • Own air growth in the INDIA USA by leading a team of regional Sales and Pricing team
  • Administer overall pricing strategy for all fixed and spot business
  • Design scalable air freight solutions to support unique verticals and segments
  • Negotiate contracts, fixed allocations, and potentially BSA's, monitor utilization of capacity
  • Drive on-time performance and milestone timeliness
  • Manage air freight cost and pricing inputs to achieve take rate
  • Be the executive-level POC for all Indian airline relationships
  • Provide commercial support to largest global accounts as an executive sponsor

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • 15+ years of prior Ocean Freight experience at a top freight forwarder or carrier or 15+ years of supply chain experience and a BA/BS Degree;
  • Strategic vision and bias to action, process, structure, and data;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
