Senior Regional Category Manager

We are expanding our team to oversee the building materials category in a defined region. This role will drive revenue generation, full profit and loss ownership, and manage a team of 8–10 procurement and category managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Category Strategy & Revenue Ownership: Drive sales and profitability of the building materials category across the assigned region.
  • P&L Management: Take end-to-end ownership of the regional P&L for building materials, managing key metrics including top-line revenue, gross margin, cost of goods, and working capital.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of 8–10 category and procurement managers across the region.
  • Vendor & Supply Chain Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable and cost-effective material sourcing.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with project execution, logistics, finance, and technology teams to ensure smooth end-to-end material flow.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 10–18 years in procurement, category management, or supply chain, preferably in the construction, infrastructure, or building materials industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience: Managing large teams, handling regional P&L, and working with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Skills: Deep understanding of building materials procurement, pricing structures, vendor ecosystem, negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Ability: Thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
