Procurement Leader

This strategic procurement role oversees the acquisition of essential raw materials, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining high-quality standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage supplier relationships and build effective partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to drive cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Analyze market trends, identify potential risks and opportunities, and develop mitigation strategies.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable terms and conditions, and monitor supplier performance.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all procured raw materials meet required quality standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Inventory Management:

  • Work closely with the Inventory Management team to ensure optimal stock levels of raw materials.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize wastage and reduce excess stock.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Professional certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on raw materials.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and build strong partnerships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools. SAP knowledge is a must.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience in the pesticide industry is preferred.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to raw materials procurement.
