Job Title: Cloud Application Support Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled System Reliability Engineer with hands-on experience in supporting cloud-hosted applications, particularly on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide SRE Level 1 and 2 support for applications hosted on AWS to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Monitor application health using DataDog and other observability tools; respond to alerts and anomalies.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve incidents within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to troubleshoot and optimize application performance.
  • Maintain and update monitoring dashboards and alerting rules.
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks, deployments, and configuration updates.
  • Document support procedures, incident resolutions, and system changes.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and ensure timely resolution of critical issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 4 years of experience in application support or production support roles.
  • Strong experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, CloudWatch, RDS, and more.
  • Proficient in DataDog for monitoring, alerting, and dashboard creation.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux commands.
  • Good understanding of log debugging.
  • Familiarity with other tools, such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack, is a plus.
  • Good understanding of incident management and ITIL processes.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS certification, such as Cloud Practitioner, is a plus.
