Cloud Security Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Security Specialist to design and implement cryptographic solutions that protect sensitive data in cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cryptography, key management, and cloud-native security practices. They will collaborate with engineering, security, and compliance teams to ensure data protection, regulatory compliance, and secure communication across multiple cloud service providers (CSPs).

Cryptography & Key Management
  • Cryptography Concepts
  • The specialist will develop and maintain a deep understanding of core cryptographic concepts, standards, and their application in cloud environments.
  • Key Management Systems
  • They will implement secure Key Management Systems (KMS), including management of keys, certificates, and cryptographic assets.
  • Secure Key Lifecycle Management
  • The specialist will ensure secure key lifecycle management (generation, distribution, storage, rotation, and retirement).
  • Certificate Management
  • They will work with Certificate Authorities to issue, manage, and validate certificates.Cloud Security Architecture
    • Cryptographic Controls
    • The specialist will design cryptographic controls aligned with CSP-native services (AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault, GCP KMS, etc.).
    • Secure Key Exchange
    • They will define and enforce secure Key Exchange mechanisms between CSPs and enterprise systems.
    • Service Control Policies
    • The specialist will assist with Service Control Policies (SCPs) to ensure adherence to security baselines.Automation & Infrastructure as Code
      • Cryptographic Services
      • The specialist will prototype, build, and maintain GitHub and Terraform modules for cryptographic services (KMS, certificates, and other assets).
      • Resource Provisioning
      • They will automate provisioning of cryptographic resources and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.Application & Data Protection
        • Data Encryption
        • The specialist will build and deploy custom applications for encryption, tokenization, and secure data protection.
        • Cryptographic Validation
        • They will validate and monitor cryptographic services, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational security standards.
        • Compliance Frameworks
        • The specialist will conduct audits and support service certifications to meet compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS, GDPR, ISO, etc.).Governance, Documentation & Compliance
          • Security Documentation
          • The specialist will create and improve security documentation, policies, and technical playbooks.
          • Audit Support
          • They will support internal and external audits related to data protection and encryption practices.
          • Subject Matter Expertise
          • The specialist will provide subject matter expertise in cloud crypto security to engineering and business teams.

This role requires a strong understanding of cryptography fundamentals, hands-on experience with Key Management Systems, and familiarity with cloud provider cryptographic services. The ideal candidate will also have proficiency with Terraform, GitHub, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices, knowledge of Service Control Policies, and experience with encryption protocols and key exchange mechanisms.

Familiarity with compliance standards such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, or SOC 2 is highly valued, as well as strong documentation and communication skills.
