Role Overview:

The Marketplace Business Manager will be responsible for the overall strategy, management and growth of a specific marketplace within our business.

This is a P&L management role that requires a combination of skills: strategic planning, supply chain management, demand generation, and a deep understanding of market and customer preferences.

The ideal candidate is an independent leader who has the ability to manage end-to-end business operations, plan and execute scale up and create predictable profit pools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategy to drive supply and demand within a particular marketplace and increase the market share.
  • Understand local Supply and Demand trends and competitor activities. Use insights to form appropriate plans to leverage inputs for growth opportunities.
  • Identify revenue & cost-saving opportunities for maximising profits.
  • Work with cross functional teams like Supply Chain, Finance, Credit teams to optimise costs and enhance revenue.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality of produce and experience to customers.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs to measure operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Leverage technology and innovation to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Engg/MBA professionals with 2-5 yrs of experience into pure play Key Account management roles with end-to-end responsibility and in a fast-paced setup.
  • Managing Rural Areas Sales Exposure is preferred.
  • B2B Sales exposure in FMCG/FMCG/Ecommerce industries with hands on understanding of Credit Facilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong first principle thinking, ability to identify & solve problem statements end to end.
  • Should have managed operations, with a track record of bringing processes efficiency.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and profitability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong Desire to travel across rural areas in assigned geography.
