Senior Java Developer Lead Position

About the Opportunity:

Our client is a leading design and development studio with over 500 global clients across various industries. They specialize in web and mobile solutions using technologies like React, React Native, Flutter, Angular, Vue, NodeJS, and Python.

The company operates from offices in Bangalore, India, and London, UK, and is known for open-source projects like NativeBase, BuilderX, and Vue Native.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Tech Owner (Java/ NodeJS) with expertise in Core Java/ NodeJS, AWS, and Performance Engineering to lead critical banking modules.

This role requires hands-on technical leadership, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and ownership of APIs and solutioning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive solution discussions as the Technical SME for assigned EPICs.
  • Review and approve designs and user stories focusing on performance, security, and NFRs.
  • Lead technical conversations with OBP, product processors, and interfacing platforms.
  • Drive service discovery, troubleshooting, and clarification of technical blockers.
  • Collaborate with squads, Enterprise Architects, and Engineering Managers on overall solutioning.
  • Track and resolve technical impediments, coordinating across pods and teams.
  • Ensure accurate API documentation and maintain knowledge repositories.
  • Escalate unresolved technical issues to program managers when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong hands-on experience with Core Java (Java 17 preferred) or Node.js.
  • Expertise in Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
  • Cloud experience: AWS (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch) or equivalent.
  • Sound understanding of REST APIs with focus on security, performance, and error handling.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and API documentation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on architecture rather than coding-intensive tasks.
  • Proven experience in solutioning, code reviews, and system design.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience.
  • B.Tech/BE.
