Job Title: Credit Leadership Position

 

About the Role:

Our organization is a rapidly growing entity specializing in supply chain financing solutions for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Our focus lies in enabling working capital access for businesses, and we are building a technology-driven, scalable lending platform.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement credit policies, frameworks, and processes for SME/MSME lending and supply chain financing to support business growth objectives.
  • Lead the credit appraisal and underwriting function, including assessment of borrower risk, financial due diligence, and creditworthiness evaluation to ensure risk management standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee portfolio quality, delinquency management, and design early warning mechanisms to mitigate potential risks.
  • Collaborate closely with business, risk, and operations teams to balance growth objectives with prudent credit practices and maximize efficiency.
  • Present credit proposals and portfolio performance updates to senior management, as required.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing credit team capable of handling scale and complexity.
  • Stay updated with industry, regulatory, and market trends impacting SME/MSME lending to inform strategic decisions.

 

Key Requirements:

  • 8–15 years of experience in credit risk/underwriting, preferably within NBFCs, fintechs, or banks with strong SME/MSME exposure.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain finance, bill discounting, invoice financing, and related credit products.
  • Proven ability to develop credit frameworks from scratch and manage large loan books with quality outcomes.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory norms, compliance requirements, and RBI guidelines for NBFCs.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills to drive strategic initiatives.
  • CA/MBA/FRM or equivalent qualification preferred.
