Job Overview

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to address critical legislative and regulatory proposals.
  • Provide direction and guidance on key policy matters, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Represent the organization's interests with government bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders at local, state, and national levels.

Key responsibilities include:

Core Responsibilities

Policy Development:

  • Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments to identify emerging opportunities and challenges.
  • Develop and implement strategies to address critical legislative and regulatory proposals.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Represent the organization's interests with government bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across regulatory, industry, and business networks.

Communication:

  • Provide strategic, data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership on key policy matters.
  • Communicate the impact of emerging issues on the organization to senior management, developing a strategy to address them effectively.
Requirements

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in public policy and regulatory affairs, with a strong focus on the Indian market.
  • A strong network of stakeholders, including at senior levels, with a demonstrated ability to effectively interact at the highest levels.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound business judgment and a practical approach to policy development and regulatory compliance.
