Key Account Manager

Purpose:

In this role, you will drive business growth through strategic account management activities, focusing on building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Building

Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers by understanding their needs and requirements, and providing solutions that meet those needs.

Sales Planning

Create a sales plan for assigned accounts by identifying potential opportunities, highlighting customer requirements, and forecasting market trends.

Account Management

Monitor and manage sales targets at the account level, ensuring adherence to budget and initiating corrective action as required.

Business Opportunities

Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing customer relationships, and develop pursuit plans to capitalize on these opportunities.

Client Negotiation

Negotiate and finalize terms with clients in terms of product specifications, payment terms, and timelines, obtaining approval from the reporting manager.

Customer Support

Provide technical support to customers on after-sales related issues, ensuring timely resolution and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Dealer Management

Manage dealer activities, including stock booking, raising invoices, and making payments, to ensure smooth operation of the supply chain.

Territory Updates

Keep abreast with developments in the territory, and provide data to the marketing team on potential opportunities for expansion/diversification into new markets/geographies.
