Job Title:

Business Development Manager

Description:

This role requires a professional to manage and develop business relationships with clients in the commercial and consumer insurance sectors. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales, negotiation, and customer service.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve business growth
  • Maintaining and building relationships with existing clients
  • Identifying new business opportunities and developing plans to pursue them
  • Managing a team of agents or producers to ensure they are meeting their sales targets
  • Coaching and guiding agents on how to improve their sales skills and knowledge

The successful candidate will have:

  • 3-6 years of experience in sales, preferably in the general insurance industry
  • A degree in any field, with a professional certification in insurance (Associate level) being desirable

Key Accountabilities/ Responsibilities

To achieve overall budget assigned for fiscal year

  • Multi-line budget achievement

Achieve 100% of Budget - periodically and annually.

Service Excellence

  • Goal 1: Service excellence standards to be met

Measure 1: Issuance of policies within 7 days

Measure 2: Refunds within 10 days

Measure 3: Quotes 48 hours within branch authority

Goal 2: Ensuring & monitoring claim settlements with agreed TAT

Measure 1: Within 7 days of receipt of all documentation

Experience

Total 3-6 years of experience

Preferably general insurance industry. This will vary with size and volume of office.

Education

Graduation , Any Professional degree

Insurance certification -Associate level ( Desirable)
