Senior Design Engineer Job Description

Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this role is to design and develop BIW components and structures for Passenger & Commercial Vehicles.

  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, vehicle packaging, assembly processes & feasibility are essential.

This includes creating innovative design proposals that align with project targets (cost, weight, quality & timing).

Additionally, the ideal candidate should be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration & feasibility.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • CATIA V5: Part, Assembly, Sheet Metal, GSD, Drawing
  • Teamcenter tools

Qualifications:

  • B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering
  • 4–8 Years of Experience

Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with structural, safety, NVH, and homologation requirements while delivering designs aligned with project targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop BIW components and structures for Passenger & Commercial Vehicles
  • Support VA-VE, concept creation, and innovative design proposals
  • Collaborate with CAE, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams for integration and feasibility
  • Ensure compliance with structural, safety, NVH, and homologation requirements
  • Deliver designs aligned with project targets (cost, weight, quality, and timing)
