Job Overview

A Technical Support Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality incident resolution, focusing on root cause analysis, prevention, and knowledge transfer. The role requires interacting with customers using phone calls, emails, and chat services to resolve support incidents within target service level agreements.

The ideal candidate will contribute to the internal knowledge base, documenting customer incidents with troubleshooting, root cause, and resolution information. They will also follow internal processes, policies, and guidelines on collaboration, escalation, and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve customer support incidents via phone calls, emails, and chat services
  • Contact and resolve customer issues within target service level agreements
  • Document customer incidents with troubleshooting and resolution information
  • Foster collaboration across teams to identify root causes of technical issues
  • Contribute to the development of an internal knowledge base for faster incident resolution

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in product support business interacting with English-speaking customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Problem-solving skills and good troubleshooting acumen
  • Passion for technology and ability to ramp up on technical concepts
  • Ability to work in high-visibility, high-pressure scenarios
  • Familiarity with ticketing and tech support platforms
  • Effective communication of technical details to all audiences
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Technical Requirements:

MUST have:

  • Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, JQuery
  • One or more programming languages: Node.js/ Python/ PHP/ JAVA*

MUST have working knowledge of:

  • SQL queries
  • Mongo, Postgresql, or any other NoSQL DB knowledge
  • Basic networking concepts
  • Basic Linux terminal commands
