The primary focus of this role is to continually reduce risks and improve network WHS standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and successful delivery of projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements, document functional and design specifications, and identify appropriate resources needed.
  • Assemble and manage project teams, assign individual responsibilities, and develop milestones and launch schedules.
  • Measure and report progress, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and balance business needs with technical constraints.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and business practices, engaging in frequent written and verbal communication with management and business partners.
  • Execute and drive audits to completion, drafting audit reports, stakeholder reviews, and finalizing and tracking audit reports in database.
  • Own weekly/monthly reports and metrics, identifying gaps in audit programs and processes, and escalating to manager.
  • Follow confidentiality rules with documents reviewed, drafting documents and revisions on audit reports per manager direction.
  • Perform deep dive analysis/research on data/information/literature, creating recommendations/corrective actions based on identified deviations, and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Earn trust of peers by understanding audit processes and programs, making recommendations to managers for input into roadmap strategic discussions and continuous improvement projects.

At WHS Central Program Team (CPT), our vision is to be a WHS Centre of Excellence that enables data-driven decision making, and our mission is to provide actionable, objective insights through program management to help WHS make better, more informed decisions to prevent disruptions and ensure a safer workplace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Analytical skills with experience using Excel.
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and writing).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience with Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques.
  • Experience with stakeholder management across geographies.
  • Program/project management certification (PMP/ Six-Sigma).
