Wireless Test Specialist

In this role, you will be responsible for creating and testing system testbeds using various networking devices and servers. Your primary objective is to validate the functionality of wireless systems, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance.

Your tasks will include:

  1. Building complex testbeds using multiple access points and other networking equipment.
  2. Conducting thorough QA validation of wireless features, including end-to-end testing of client-to-cloud architecture.
  3. Recreating customer issues in a lab setting and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve them efficiently.
  4. Performing performance testing using industry-standard tools like iPerf.
  5. Working closely with the customer success team to review defect reports and enhance test coverage.
  6. Creating and tracking bugs in Jira to ensure timely resolution.
  7. Escalating critical issues promptly.
  8. Developing technical documentation for internal teams in Confluence.
  9. Training junior engineers on advanced wireless technologies.

We are seeking an experienced professional with 8+ years of experience in software development or a related field. A bachelor's degree in EE, CS, or a related discipline is required.

The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of 802.11 protocol standards and hands-on experience in validating Enterprise-grade Wireless Access Points. Familiarity with routing and switching concepts (including VLAN, DHCP, DNS, NAT, Trunk/Native) is also essential.

Prior experience in troubleshooting based on wireless packet captures is necessary. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are vital for this position.
