Marriott International is a global leader in hospitality, offering a vast array of lodging brands and residential properties. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

This role is focused on designing and implementing network services and solutions that ensure the best experience for Marriott Associates and contractors. The successful candidate will provide technical engagement throughout the infrastructure lifecycle, from ideation through execution, ongoing management, and service retirement/recycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Design and Implementation: Develop and implement Lan, Wan, Wifi network designs, engineering, implementation, and optimization for the Corporate Network product, adhering to all applicable standards including architecture, security, privacy, compliance, etc., with a focus on global Wifi networking.
• Service and Circuit Capacity Management: Manage network service and circuit capacity to ensure optimal performance.
• Project Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver projects, including hardware and software specification, vendor coordination, and full operational turnover.
• Change Planning and Run Book Review: Participate in change planning and review run books to ensure smooth operations.
• Governance of Third-Party Service Providers: Govern third-party service providers to ensure high-quality services.
• Level 3 Escalation Support: Provide level 3 escalation support for operational issues and/or outages.
• Collaboration with Key Teams: Collaborate with other key teams, including Network Architects, Test and Certification, Information Security, Finance, Procurement, etc.
• Product Strategy and Planning: Participate in product strategy and planning to simplify, standardize, optimize, and automate network designs, tooling, and operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Enterprise Networking Experience: 4+ years of progressive experience in enterprise networking, with a focus on wireless, SD-WAN, and Lan infrastructure.
• Wireless Expertise: Expertise in enterprise wireless protocols, RF site surveys, and security best practices, including hands-on experience with deployment, optimization, and troubleshooting of platforms like Mist AI, Cisco Wireless, or equivalent.
• SD-WAN Experience: Proven hands-on experience with SD-WAN (Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN experience preferred) including policy configuration, site provisioning, and performance tuning.
• Fabric-Based Lan Architectures: Strong understanding and implementation experience with Fabric-based Lan architectures (e.g., Cisco Lan Fabric, HP Flex Fabric).
• Layer 2/3 Networking Concepts: Proficient in Layer 2/3 networking concepts, including VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, and multicast.
• Network Monitoring and Diagnostics Tools: Skilled in network monitoring, diagnostics, and performance tools (e.g., Wireshark, Net Brain, Thousand Eyes, ADEM).
• Telco and ISP Networks: Technical knowledge and experience with telco and ISP networks, ensuring diversity and managing availability.
• Documentation, Communication, and Collaboration Skills: Excellent documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Leadership and Adaptability: Ability to lead network design and implementation projects independently or as part of a team, with the ability to work non-standard hours during change implementations and service restoration efforts.

• Automation, AI, and Machine Learning: Experience creating or leveraging automation, AI, and machine learning to deploy and manage networks.
• Virtualized Network Services: Development and deployment of virtualized network services.
• Cloud Networking Solutions: Understanding of cloud networking solutions and cloud interconnects.
• Vendor Experience: Vendor experience: Cisco Lan/Wan/Wifi; HPE/Mist Wifi; Palo Alto Networks FW and SDWA NetScout, Thousand Eyes, NetMRI, ServiceNow, Oracle SBCs and VOIP.
• Interoperability with CCaaS Environments: Exposure to and familiarization with CCaaS environments to include 14IP, CXOne, and others.
• Strong Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with other non-Network technical teams and non-technical customers.

Education and Certifications:

• Computer Science Degree: Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience/certification.
