Network Team Lead Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Network Team Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center networking and software defined networking.

  • This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud network infrastructure including physical and SDN network frameworks.
  • The successful candidate will ensure high availability, flexibility, and network performance while meeting SLA requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of network infrastructure is essential.
  • Collaboration with clients and team members on day-to-day changes, incidents, and requests is critical.
  • The Network Team Lead will oversee a team of Network Engineers, providing technical guidance and expertise where necessary.
  • Evaluating the performance of team members and providing feedback is also an important aspect of this role.
  • Monitoring key performance metrics and trends to assess risks and business impact is required.
  • Preparing and delivering solution presentations or technical proposals related to cloud network infrastructure is an important responsibility.
  • Managing and/or delivering technical validation activities including Proof Of Concept is also part of this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining DataCenter networks, L2/L3 technologies, Cisco/Juniper routers, switches and wireless, Cisco/Juniper/Fortigate firewalls, Load balancer etc.
  • Strong understanding of Data Center network technologies including WAN & Routing technologies, Security technologies, Switching technologies, QoS, Network monitoring Protocols & Tools and SDN Technologies.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly narrow down and resolve problems.
  • Effective project management and completion of complex network tasks with little guidance.
  • Highly motivated individual who is a self-starter and can demonstrate effective teamwork and communication skills.
  • Motivated learner – ability to quickly learn new technologies and keep networking skills current with emerging technologies.
  • Experience in handling a team of minimum 4 people in a similar role.
