Performance Engineering Lead

The Performance Engineering Lead plays a pivotal role in spearheading end-to-end performance testing engagements for web, mobile, APIs, and enterprise applications. This individual is responsible for leading cross-functional teams to define non-functional requirements (NFRs) and performance Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, developers, and infrastructure teams to design performance test strategies, plans, and scenarios.
  • Guide the team in scripting, execution, result analysis, and bottleneck identification using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, NeoLoad, etc.
  • Drive root cause analysis for performance issues using Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Grafana, Splunk, etc.
  • Provide detailed performance reports and tuning recommendations across application, infrastructure, and database layers.
  • Manage stakeholder communication, timelines, and resource planning for performance projects.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, conduct technical reviews, and promote performance engineering best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in performance testing or APM tools are highly valued.
  • Experience in chaos engineering, synthetic monitoring, or real-user monitoring is advantageous.
  • Exposure to cloud-native performance testing (e.g., k6, Taurus, Artillery) is desirable.
  • Experience in benchmarking cloud platforms and infrastructure is required.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 7.5 years of experience in performance engineering is necessary.
  • Fifteen years of full-time education are mandatory.
