Job Title: Executive Leader for Global Technology Teams

We are seeking an experienced Executive Leader to lead our global capabilities assessment team. This role involves senior management-level responsibilities for accomplishing results through team management, establishing and implementing large-scale data processing, and making it accessible and actionable for development teams and senior management.

Job Description:
  • About the Role:
  • The team has three broad goals: measuring progress towards organisational outcomes, establishing meaningful measures for development teams, and reinforcing positive behaviours via measurement influence.
  • We require practitioners skilled in data science who understand the development process and can contribute to cultural goals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Lead engineers to accomplish established goals and develop scalable software.
  • Strategic Influence: Exercise control over resources, budget management, and planning while monitoring end results.
  • Problem-Solving: Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues.
  • Standards Definition: Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards.
  • Integration: Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals.
  • Evaluative Judgement: Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations, including drawing from internal and external sources.
  • Influence and Negotiation: Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Applications Development: Experience in applications development.
  • Global Technology Teams: Experience managing global technology teams.
  • Industry Practices: Working knowledge of industry practices and standards.
  • Communication: Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Negotiation and Influence: Excellent communicator who gets on well with others, building strong professional relationships.
  • Creativity and Innovation: Able to negotiate and influence at various levels.
  • Risk Management: Creative and innovative, brings different angles to problems and provides new solutions.
  • Security Focus: Risk and security focused, putting diligent risk management and security at the core of everything they do.
  • Analytical Skills: Able to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive and problem-solving techniques.
Desired Skills:
  • Development Process Expertise: Proven expertise in the development process, ideally from working in development teams in a large company.
  • Software Engineering Skills: Expert Level Software Engineering Skills are necessary for this role. (Typically 5+ years). Preferred languages include Golang, Angular, Python, and Java.
  • Backend Systems: Experience in designing and building backend systems from scratch (Be prepared to provide examples and understand the impact of those systems).
  • Data Science/Data Engineering Basics: Understanding of data science/data engineering basics.
  • ETL Techniques: Knowledge of ETL Techniques will help you be successful in this role.
  • Agile SDLC Methods: Experience with Agile SDLC methods.
