Device Engineering Manager

Tata Electronics is a cutting-edge semiconductor foundry, producing chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic.

Responsibilities:
  1. Transfer 28-90nm technologies from partner facilities to our state-of-the-art facility by developing and implementing process modules, yield improvement strategies and analytical techniques.
  2. Add new features and improve existing 28-90nm technologies focusing on leakage, performance, RF/Power FOM's and Auto Grade Qualification.
  3. Collaborate with the business team to achieve performance targets, analyze costs and optimize transistors based on implant and process steps.
  4. Work with the integration team on test chip layouts, design and layout E-test structures and interpret data.
  5. Ensure project performance requirements are met through effective project management and leadership of cross-functional teams.
  6. Benchmark competitors and develop technology roadmaps, establish strong customer relationships based on confidence in technical capabilities and present to internal and customer senior executives.

Qualifications:
  1. M.S or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Materials Science or equivalent.
  2. Deep knowledge of device physics, process modules, yield improvement, failure mechanisms and analytical techniques.
  3. Experience guiding TCAD and compact modeling teams, involved in transistor development and optimization for at least one CMOS node.
  4. Understanding of CMOS parameters and figures of merit, transistor physics and fabrication details.
