Database Developer Position

We seek an experienced Database Developer to design, develop, and implement scalable database schemas using MySQL and MS SQL Server.

About the Role:
  • Collaborate with application development teams to translate data requirements into efficient database designs.
  • Perform data modeling and create ER diagrams.
Key Responsibilities:Database Design & Development
  • Design and develop database structures to ensure high performance and scalability.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement data integration solutions.
  • Create detailed ER diagrams to visualize database relationships.
Performance Tuning & Optimization
  • Optimize complex SQL queries and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
  • Implement indexing strategies and query optimization techniques to improve database performance.
  • Monitor database performance metrics and proactively resolve issues.
Database Administration & Maintenance
  • Manage backups, recovery, and disaster recovery plans for MySQL and MS SQL.
  • Ensure database security, access control, and data integrity.
  • Handle patching, upgrades, and migrations to ensure seamless database operations.
Data Integration & ETL
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes for system-to-system data integration.
  • Implement data warehousing solutions for reporting and analytics.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 6-7 years of proven experience as a Database Developer (MySQL & MS SQL).
  • Expert-level SQL programming (T-SQL, PL/SQL).
  • Strong knowledge of database design, data modeling, and normalization.
  • Experience with performance tuning and large-scale database optimization.
  • Proficiency in administration tasks (backup, recovery, security, replication).
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data integration.
  • Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
