We are seeking a seasoned Database Developer to join our team.

Job Title: Database Developer

A highly skilled and experienced Database Developer is required to design, develop, and maintain complex relational databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of SQL, experience with ETL processes, and a deep understanding of data modelling and database performance tuning.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Database Design and Development: Create and maintain complex relational databases using various RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
  • SQL Querying: Write efficient and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
  • ETL Pipelines: Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for data integration and transformation using tools like SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Data Modelling: Design and implement data models (normalized and denormalized) for transactional and analytical purposes.
  • Database Administration: Monitor, maintain, and improve database security, integrity, and availability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in database development and management.
  • SQL Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL and major RDBMS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL).
  • ETL Tools: Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Informatica PowerCenter, Snowflake.
  • Data Modelling Concepts: Familiarity with data modelling concepts (star schema, snowflake, normalization).
  • Performance Tuning: Knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Version Control Systems: Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Cloud-Based Databases: Familiarity with cloud-based databases (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL).
