Cost Management Strategist

Job Overview:

The Cost Management Strategist will be responsible for implementing cost management strategies and driving cost optimization initiatives within the organization. This role requires collaboration with stakeholders from various departments to identify areas of cost reduction, improve efficiency, and maximize profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Estimation and Control: Take ownership of new product development cost calculation and realization, ensuring accurate cost estimations and effective cost controls throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Cost Transparency: Follow up and proactively challenge the product cost with GSC plants, ensuring cost transparency and driving cost optimization initiatives.
  • Cost Network Leadership: Lead and animate the cost network to promote cost management methodology and tools, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among cross-functional teams.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present reports on star references benchmark, cost reduction initiatives, and new product development cost to senior management.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas of improvement.
  • KPI Monitoring: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track cost-saving initiatives and evaluate their effectiveness.
Requirements:

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant certifications are a plus. Proven experience in cost management, financial analysis, or related roles is essential. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data are also required.
