Drive strategic initiatives in cost modeling and value engineering to enhance product competitiveness.

About the Role

This leadership opportunity involves leading a team of cost analysts to develop and implement cost-saving strategies across various material categories. The role requires building organizational capability in cost estimation, parametric analysis, and design-to-value principles to influence product cost decisions and supplier negotiations.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify cost reduction opportunities through should-cost modeling and VAVE workshops.
  • Oversee the development and governance of parametric cost models using advanced tools like aPriori.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Procurement, and Finance to shape cost-effective product designs and supplier strategies.

As a leader, you will be responsible for institutionalizing design-to-cost and design-for-manufacturing practices across development lifecycles and providing leadership in supplier clean-sheet negotiations and cost benchmarking. You will also coach and mentor a team of cost analysts, define standard operating procedures, and represent the cost/value engineering function in cross-functional forums.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in cost engineering, value engineering, or sourcing analytics.
  • Proven team leadership with ability to influence technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills, with hands-on experience in aPriori, SolidWorks/Creo, SAP, and PLM tools.
