The Purchasing Manager role at our organization requires a highly skilled professional who can identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on technical requirements, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    Supplier Identification and Evaluation:

  • Potential suppliers will be identified based on their ability to meet the company's technical requirements, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.
  • A thorough assessment of supplier capabilities, including manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and financial stability, will be conducted.
  • Evaluations of supplier proposals will be undertaken, ensuring favorable terms and conditions are negotiated.
  • Suitable suppliers will be selected for future collaboration.

    Vendor Development and Improvement:

  • Collaboration with suppliers will take place to identify areas for improvement in their processes, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Technical support and guidance will be provided to suppliers to enhance their capabilities and meet the company's requirements.
  • Development programs, such as training workshops, will be implemented to improve supplier performance.

    Cost Reduction and Optimization:

  • Analysis of product costs will be carried out to identify opportunities for cost reduction through value engineering, process optimization, and material sourcing.
  • Negotiations with suppliers will take place to achieve competitive pricing and favorable payment terms.
  • Cost-saving initiatives will be implemented throughout the supply chain.

    Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Strong relationships with key suppliers will be built and maintained through open communication and collaboration.
  • Supplier performance will be managed, tracking key metrics, and addressing any performance issues proactively.

    Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Close collaboration will occur with internal teams, including engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality, to ensure alignment and effective communication.

    The ideal candidate should possess 2-3 years of relevant experience and hold strong technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software, are also required.
