Category Manager - FMCG

We are seeking an experienced Category Manager to lead our FMCG team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a category of products across multiple stores, leading a team of 8-10 members and ensuring smooth business operations.

The role involves:

  1. Managing a team of 8-10 members to achieve sales targets and ensure excellent customer service;
  2. Leading classroom training and on-the-job training programs for team members;
  3. Coordinating with vendors to negotiate prices and forecast demand;
  4. Working closely with other teams to maximize off-takes and ensure best promotions in stores;
  5. Developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and profitability;
  6. Ensuring availability of products in DCs and stores day-in-day-out;
  7. Maintaining competitive pricing in the market;

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in FMCG sales, preferably in General Trade;
  • Strong leadership and team management skills;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills;
  • Knowledge of local languages and locations;
  • Ability to travel across locations within the region assigned and PAN India;
