Job Description

  • The role holder will be responsible for sourcing new vendors, onboarding them, scheduling purchases, and ensuring timely payments. They will also manage working relationships with existing vendors.
  • They will be in charge of managing assigned categories and related product/merchandise selection. Responsibilities include identifying products, negotiating the best rates, analyzing consumption patterns, and ensuring profitable growth for the categories.
  • Data analysis, planning, forecasting, sales growth, product enhancement, and product lifecycle management are key responsibilities.
  • The role holder must manage a team of officers/promoters, prepare and present reports, and conduct market visits.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in FMCG (Sales GT background) or General Merchandising Product base industry with good understanding of the category.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, planning, delegation, coordination, follow-up, and team handling skills are required.
  • Good interpersonal skills are needed to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Excel is a must.
