RFP Specialist Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Proposal Development: We are seeking an experienced professional to determine proposal concepts, gather and format information, write drafts, and obtain approvals.
  • Concept Creation: The ideal candidate will identify opportunities and needs, study requests for proposals (RFPs), and participate in strategy meetings to develop a compelling proposal concept.
  • Meeting Deadlines: This role requires establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, approval, and transmittal to meet proposal deadlines.
  • Coordination: The RFP Specialist will coordinate requirements with contributors and provide proposal status information for review meetings.
  • Information Gathering: The successful candidate will identify sources of information, coordinate submissions and collections, and communicate risks associated with proposals.
  • Draft Assembly: This position involves assembling project information including nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, standards of performance, and evaluation.
  • Writing and Editing: Excellent writing and analytical skills are required to write, revise, and edit drafts, including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials.
  • Presentation Preparation: The RFP Specialist will evaluate text, graphics, and binding for presentation preparation.

This role is responsible for developing comprehensive proposals that effectively communicate the value proposition of our solutions. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
