Desktop Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at Encora Inc.
About the RoleThis is a hybrid role, requiring both on-site and remote work. As a Desktop Support Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all desktop systems operate smoothly and efficiently, allowing end-users to perform their tasks effectively.
Your primary focus will be on receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end-user help requests. This may involve using diagnostic tools, tracking software, and providing in-person, hands-on assistance at the desktop level.
Responsibilities- Prioritize and manage multiple help requests simultaneously, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with users.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot desktop system issues, including Windows troubleshooting, Active Directory, O365, and VPN-related problems.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems, applications, and peripherals, adhering to standardization policies.
- Configure internet settings, proxy settings, and mail clients, while troubleshooting related issues.
- Manage disk and folder sharing, as well as permission settings on desktops, ensuring seamless collaboration among users.
- Assist users in accessing applications based on standard SOPs, providing training and support as needed.
- Vendor coordination for Call logging, tracking, and closure of OEM calls related to hardware, software, and networking support.
- Provide VIP support to identified users, addressing their specific needs and concerns.
- 3-5 years of experience in supporting users onsite and on phone/remote session.
- 3-5 years of experience in an MNC supporting minimum 1000 Users.
- Exceptional customer service orientation, with excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Azure knowledge, preferably with Azure Active Directory expertise.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft-based operating systems, including Windows diagnosis, OS installation, and reimaging.
- Broad knowledge of hardware troubleshooting, upgradation, and repairs of Apple hardware, including Mac Pro, MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, iMac Pro, iPad, and iPhones.
