Expert Workday Payroll Consultant

We are seeking a skilled Workday Functional Consultant to join our HR Technology team. This role requires deep expertise in Workday configuration, support, and optimization for payroll processes, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Workday functionality and related business processes.

- Configure and maintain payroll components including earnings, deductions, pay groups, tax elections, cost centers, and vendor integrations.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient payroll solutions.

- Perform testing for upgrades, patches, enhancements, and Workday releases.

- Troubleshoot calculation issues, resolve discrepancies, and ensure data accuracy.

- Manage bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll cycles ensuring compliance, timeliness, and accuracy.

- Ensure adherence to U.S. payroll tax laws and internal controls.

- Develop reports, dashboards, and audit documentation.

- Support integrations with external providers.

- Provide training and support to users.

- Maintain detailed process documentation and configuration notes.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 5+ years of experience with proven expertise in Workday configuration and support.

- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.

- Experience with integrations, troubleshooting, and system optimization.

- Familiarity with additional Workday modules is a plus.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Workday Payroll or HCM Certification preferred.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
