Strategic Policy Lead Role

This is a pivotal position at the intersection of regulation, business strategy, and policy advocacy.

The successful candidate will act as both a strategic analyst and an execution partner to the Chief Regulatory Officer, helping to frame policy narratives, manage external engagement, and guide internal stakeholders on regulatory implications that affect diverse businesses.

  • Develop and articulate policy positions across various industries.
  • Track, monitor, and analyze competition, market, and regulatory trends & provide strategic updates to support policy advocacy.
  • Prepare briefing notes, presentations, regulatory submissions, and communication strategies to influence key stakeholders.
  • Standardize reporting mechanisms to track regulatory engagements and advocacy outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders within the Regulatory team and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of business goals with evolving regulatory priorities.
  • Support the CRO in prioritization, resource planning, and coordination of high-impact projects across multiple business lines.

  • Strong policy, legal, and regulatory acumen in telecom and digital industries.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Must have an ability to create compelling arguments in both technical and non-technical language.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Lateral thinker with a problem-solving mindset and intellectual creativity.
  • Proven track record of stakeholder management across policymakers, regulators, and cross-functional business teams.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Law, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 2–3 years of experience in policy, research or a related strategic function, preferably in telecom, digital, or technology-driven sectors.
  • Strong understanding of India's telecom, digital, and data policy landscape; international exposure will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL preferred).
