Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and analyze project data to inform time planning and implementation at plant level.
  • Evaluate new project feasibility considering equipment and capacity constraints.
  • Analyze failure modes and plan corrective actions for new processes and products.
  • Collaborate with global teams to implement automation projects.
  • Coordinate with vendors to modify software and assembly lines.
  • Review and approve production part approval process (PPAP) for new projects.
  • Optimize station output for maximum hourly productivity.
  • Drive productivity growth through line balancing, kaizen, and cycle time reductions.
  • Establish efficient product assembly processes ensuring high quality, optimal production rates, and cost-effectiveness.

Essential Functions:

  • Create process flow charts.
  • Determine tooling requirements for easy assembly.
  • Identify torque requirements for handling.
  • Determine manpower and hourly output needs for new projects.
  • Develop failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) for related product families and processes.
  • Collaborate with China and USA operations teams to share best practices.
  • Manage enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to upload and modify bills of materials (BOMs).

Requirements:

  • Academic background in Diploma in Electronics and Communication with 6-8 years experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication with 4-5 years experience.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing engineering or conveyor assembly.
  • Experience in electronics products assembly, including soldering, gluing, torquing, and harness assembly.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Understanding of BOM structure and parent-child parts differentiation.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong English written and communication skills.
  • Preparation of work instructions with pictures and dos and don'ts.
  • Ability to visualize assembly steps.
  • ERP system management.
  • Disassembly and reassembly of units.
  • Analytical skills for Gemba leadership.
  • Leadership of small groups.
