Job Summary

Design for Manufacturing Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Design for Manufacturing (DFM) specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, industrial, chemical or manufacturing engineering with experience working in printed circuit board assembly or with surface mount technology at a contract manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement DFM processes to improve product quality and reduce costs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing-related issues.
  • Conduct supplier audits and drive corrective actions to ensure high-quality products.
  • Develop and maintain process quality plans, including failure analysis efforts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) reliability concepts and failure analysis techniques.
  • Experience with SMT processes and development of various manufacturing processes.
  • Project management skills and deep understanding of problem-solving tools.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
