Merchandising Expert
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced merchandiser to manage the end-to-end merchandising process from order inquiry to final shipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the key point of contact between buyers and internal teams (production, design, quality, etc.).
- Develop samples and ensure timely approvals.
- Prepare and manage time and action calendars for each order.
- FOLLOW up on raw material sourcing, production schedules, and quality parameters.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of trims and fabrics.
- Monitor order status, production progress, and delivery timelines to avoid delays.
- Prepare costing sheets and negotiate prices with buyers and suppliers.
- Manage buyer communications regarding order updates, changes, and queries.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on trends, pricing, and buyer expectations.
- Maintain all merchandising records, reports, and documentation accurately.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and buyer compliance requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), and familiarity with ERP/MIS systems.
- Knowledge of fabric types, trims, washes, and garment construction.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
