Job Summary

This is a full-time position in Davangere, India, responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations within the company.

About The Role

This senior management position requires a strong background in accounting or finance, with a minimum of 10 years of experience. A professional accounting qualification, such as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), is also required.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Accounting and Financial Operations: Develop and maintain accounting and financial control systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  2. Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis to support the company's strategic initiatives and inform business decisions.
  3. Day-to-Day Accounting Functions: Manage all day-to-day accounting functions, including reconciliations, journal entries, and account maintenance.
  4. Tax and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements, including filing returns and paying taxes on time.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional accounting qualification, preferably a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Minimum of 10 years of accounting and financial reporting experience, with at least 4-5 years of experience at a senior management level.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial planning, taxation, and financial analysis.
  • Experience in managing and leading a team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement, multitask, and prioritise competing demands.
  • Familiarity with FEMA operations to coordinate remittances with Banks.
  • Familiarity with demat operations for off-market transfer of shares within group holdings.
  • High level of proficiency in using Tally ERP for bookkeeping.
  • Ability to work with external auditors to close financial statements within predetermined timelines.
