Chief Technology Officer Position Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Chief Technology Officer to spearhead the company's digital transformation and drive strategic growth across group companies and business units.

">

The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing a robust technology foundation that supports exponential growth and differentiates the organization in the market. They will define the vision, roadmap, architecture, and implementation of IT/digital transformation, as well as establish a lean operations model enabling agility and efficiency.

This leadership role involves driving application modernization and migration, transforming the way the company leverages technology, and enabling automation across the organization. The CTO will also define an integrated data management approach, build an AI-enabled business analytics capability, and visualize customer/employee-centric experience platforms connecting the organization.

  • Main Responsibilities:">
  • Develop and implement the IT & Digital transformation vision and strategy in alignment with the company's objectives.">
  • Position the company as a thought leader in industry forums and create visibility – own innovation charter across the organization.">
  • Advise the senior management team on emerging technologies and digital trends that are most relevant to the company's goals and evolving needs.">
  • Define futuristic IT architecture focused on experience-led customer/employee-centric systems – delivering a seamless omni-channel experience across sales and service.">
  • Lead and mentor the IT department, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.">
  • Achieve operational excellence through process optimization and cost reduction strategies.">

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

">
  • Over 20 years of experience in IT/tech, preferably in retail organizations or services companies, managing end-to-end responsibilities for enterprises.">
  • Experience in digital transformation for enterprises, with a preference for the retail industry, spanning across business processes.">
  • Experience with omnichannel systems required for a new generation retailer.">
  • Experience across applications, infrastructure, network, and end-user IT environment operations.">
  • Ability to define and manage a futuristic IT architecture – spanning applications, data, and security.">
  • Experience in establishing an IT governance model across the organization.">
  • Experience in DevOps transformation.">
  • Experience in Process transformation.">
  • Exposure to AI and automation technologies.">
  • Willingness to take calculated risks and ability to start from scratch.">
  • Target orientation and familiarity with service delivery constructs relevant to IT services – experience in building and managing a partner ecosystem.">
  • Front-line leadership and communication skills.">
  • Deep understanding of technology and architecture concepts – Industry trends/disruptors.">
