About the Role

Corteva Agriscience seeks a highly motivated and experienced Category Manager to lead our Insecticides category. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving profitable pricing strategy, setting and delivering short & long term product strategy profit goals, and ensuring overall sustainability, growth and profitability of the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive pricing strategy to drive profitability and growth across the Insecticides category.
  • Collaborate with global/regional/sub-regional marketing teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of category plans.
  • Develop and execute crop, molecule, marketing, brand plans and venture launch plans for the Insecticides category through a well-structured segmentation, targeting and positioning process.
  • Identify and assess market opportunities for new products, and develop value propositions and messages based on value assessment results.
  • Support the development of demand generation plans and work closely with the sales team to ensure effective execution of campaigns in target markets.
  • Work closely with marketing communications and digital services teams to design and implement product communications and digital marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of demand generation campaigns and provide insights to inform future strategies.
  • Develop customer programs to drive loyalty and support sales planning teams in executing the same.
  • Communicate and obtain buy-in to product strategies within the country.
  • Agree final sales and expense plans for the portfolio within the country, and produce task-based P&A, demo and MR budget plans.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the portfolio commercial team, setting the agenda and driving it forward.
  • Identify gaps, build new business cases, and update existing business cases within project guidelines.
  • Responsible for inventory strategy (WFC/SS) within the portfolio and matching region inventory goals with GPL global inventory goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business or Marketing.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Marketing focused on Category/Portfolio management in agribusiness or related industries that connect with end-users.
  • Solid experience in driving strategic efforts that deliver sustained growth through holistic marketing & execution plans.
  • Directly handled end-to-end process of product launches.
  • A confident speaker able to articulate messages well in small to medium-sized groups.
