Job Overview:

This high-impact role entails end-to-end ownership across finance operations, necessitating a leader who can proactively apply automation and intelligence in finance processes.

You will collaborate with leadership to drive strategic initiatives, build a modern finance function, and make data-driven decisions. Key responsibilities include financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, scenario planning, cost-benefit assessments, and reporting framework development.

In addition, you will work closely with the leadership team to align financial goals with overall business strategy, provide financial input during strategic planning sessions, and own monthly management information systems (MIS) and board decks.

The ideal candidate possesses a CA qualification or MBA from a tier 1 institution, prior experience in business finance, excellent written and oral articulation, and highly competent working skills with cross-functional teams.

Experience with applying AI in finance workflows is desirable, as is a positive attitude and keenness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: Lead quarterly and annual budgeting, build robust forecasting models, track key SaaS metrics, and drive variance analysis.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, monitor monthly runway, and optimize working capital using AI-led process improvements.
  • Business Strategy Support: Collaborate with leadership to align financial goals with overall business strategy and provide financial input during strategic planning sessions.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Own monthly MIS, board decks, and leadership updates, lead audit closures, and ensure timely statutory filings.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and grow a strong finance team, encourage an AI-first mindset, and foster a culture of automation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Process Setup and Continuous Improvement: Design and institutionalize policies across entities with scalable, tech-enabled workflows, drive automation, accuracy, and efficiency across financial operations.
