Senior Product Strategist for Airline Accounting and Retailing
About the Role
The Senior Product Strategist for Airline Accounting and Retailing will be a key leader in supporting the key objectives of the Amadeus Revenue Accounting department.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Has depth and/or breadth of expertise in Revenue Management, Revenue accounting.
- Provides expert guidance, promotes innovation, and formally trains groups of less experienced professionals.
- Has a broad understanding of the Airline, Travel industry, and uses it to improve efficiency, recommends solutions/best practices, and influence the strategy of the department.
- Translates the strategy of the activity into a concrete action plan for the area, setting and monitoring targets for the team.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Articulate and Develop value propositions and key messages corresponding to problem statements, and articulate them into new product concepts or upgrades.
- Define the product strategy, vision, and the business value in line with the business owners and other relevant stakeholders.
- Analyze solution offerings of competitors and define the strategic positioning of the product in alignment with Product Marketing Management.
- Manage 3rd party partnerships: requirement definition and prioritization, coordination of product evolution and other activities with the partner.
- Embark Amadeus teams on product vision, share product knowledge, and ensure mutual understanding of the business.
- Drive co-innovation with customers to validate customer value drivers, define features of the products (MVP and beyond), and prioritize based on effort and expected business value.
- Define and manage product roadmap; socialize and align timelines with relevant stakeholders. Work closely with Product Marketing Management, Operations (Customer Service/Delivery/Go To Market) and R&D teams to define priorities and releasing plan for new products or upgrades.
- Coordinate different functional and technical streams with R&D teams to ensure end-to-end solution consistency.
- Manage the budget for the area of responsibility, including capacity planning with R&D.
- Participate in Agile events (Lean Portfolio Management, PI planning, System demos, Inspect and Adapt workshops...) when applicable/required.
- When applicable, fulfill Product Owner role or ART PM and work with R&D teams to maximize the agile teams' outcome.
- Ensure solutions (to be) released meet the users' needs and product readiness guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- The product manager should have experience in Strategic thinking & product management practices, Airline/Travel domain, perform market analysis and competitive analysis, leading customer interaction and management.
- You will operate in a SAFe environment with a wide range of teams, people, and customers to identify and define product, market, and business needs.
