English to Marathi Translator Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and culturally aware English to Marathi Translator to handle the translation of advertisements for our leading publication.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent command of both English and Marathi, with a strong understanding of advertising language, tone, and persuasive techniques. They should be able to adapt advertising copy to suit the Marathi audience sensibilities while maintaining the original impact, tone, and brand messaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate advertisement content (print and digital) from English to Marathi.
  • Ensure accuracy, clarity, and cultural appropriateness of translated advertisements.
  • Adapt advertising copy to suit Marathi audience sensibilities without losing the intent or promotional appeal of the original ad.
  • Proofread and review final copy before going to print to ensure error-free publication.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marathi Literature, Linguistics, Mass Communication, Advertising, or related fields.
  • 2+ years of experience in translation, preferably with a focus on advertising or media.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in Marathi.
  • Familiarity with advertising language, tone, and persuasive techniques.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in basic computer tools (MS Office, Google Docs).
