Key Roles and Responsibilities

We are seeking an exceptional linguist to join our team as a Vernacular Outreach Coordinator. As the ideal candidate, you will possess excellent translation skills from English to Hindi, along with strong coordination abilities.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Linguistic Translations: Translate written English content into accurate and meaningful Hindi for various platforms, including websites, social media, news releases, and more.
  • Cultural Coordination: Collaborate with freelance translators and proofreaders working in other Indian languages to ensure smooth delivery of multilingual campaign content.
  • Hindi Content Management: Manage and maintain PETA India's Hindi website, uploading content according to standard procedures and ensuring regular updates with the latest campaign news.
  • Regional Social Media: Support content development and management of PETA India's Hindi Facebook page and other regional social media platforms.
  • Creative Development: Work with the Online and Campaigns teams to create and adapt Hindi creatives for social media use.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • Translation Expertise: Minimum two years of practical experience in translating from English to Hindi.
  • Coordination Strengths: Strong coordination skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team of freelance translators and liaise with various internal departments.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent translation skill from English to Hindi and verbal communication skills in both English and Hindi.
  • Social Media Knowledge: Strong understanding of social media trends and engagement practices.
