Investment Banking Analyst - Commercial Real Estate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support our Investment Banking team in the commercial real estate space.

  • Develop and audit comprehensive financial models for multifamily, office, industrial, and retail assets classes, including operating and non-operating cash flow modelling, levered and debt cash flow, JV & waterfall.
  • Create Argus valuation models (single property and portfolio), lease abstracting, lease review, and audit, as well as performing cash flow and rent roll analysis.
  • Perform valuations for commercial real estate properties using income capitalization approach (DCF & direct capitalization), sales comparison approach, and cost approach.
  • Model REIT income statement and balance sheet, understanding revolver, interest expense & circularity, modeling future development, FFO & CAD, and building and auditing REIT valuation and NAV models.
  • Prepare pitch books, information memorandums, industry studies, company profiles, and discussion documents related to various industries.
  • Conduct M&A deal run and potential target & buyer screenings using databases like Greenstreet, RCA, Argus, Costar, Capital IQ, PitchBook, Mergermarket, FactSet.

Meet project timelines and quality of deliverables to ensure high client satisfaction.

Conduct analysis and quality control check of outgoing reports/packs, structuring deliverables, and developing new capabilities/research products.

Demonstrate strength and experience in client/requester relationship building and management, information/knowledge needs assessment.

Required Background:

  • Post-Graduation in Finance or equiv. qualification (CFA, MBA (finance), CA or equiv.).
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Investment banking space or commercial real estate valuation.
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills to assess economic performance/analysis of companies and industries for clients.
  • Able to work independently and possess management/leadership skills to run research on a day-to-day basis.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience in Client handling.
  • Working knowledge of databases like Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Thomson Research, FactSet.
  • Well-versed with MS Office suite, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
