Investment Analyst - Venture Capital

Gain hands-on experience in the venture capital industry by joining our team as an Investment Analyst. This role offers exposure to early-stage investing, startup evaluation, portfolio company management, and ecosystem engagement.

About the Role

As an Investment Analyst, you will work closely with our team to gain insights into deal sourcing, due diligence, portfolio management, and investor relations. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Deal Evaluation: Conduct market size analysis, evaluate products/services, assess teams, business models, and financials, identify risk factors, and analyze competitive landscapes and funding histories.
  • Due Diligence: Support the investment team in commercial due diligence, financial due diligence, and legal due diligence, and coordinate with professional firms to oversee their diligence findings.
  • Deal Sourcing: Assist in sourcing opportunities from founder networks, investment bankers, and the startup ecosystem. Screen startups, review pitch decks, and conduct preliminary assessments based on deal evaluation metrics.
  • Portfolio Support: Engage with portfolio companies and assist in preparation of updates on the companies, assist founders with research and go-to-market strategies.
  • Ecosystem Engagement: Attend startup events, demo days, and network with founders, accelerators, and fellow investors.
  • Internal Reports & Documentation: Assist in preparing compliance documentation and internal records.
  • Investor Relations: Assist in making presentations for Limited Partners (LPs) as well as investor updates.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for startups, venture capital, and innovation. Key qualifications include:

  • NISM Series XIX-D exam is mandatory.
  • Passion for startups, venture capital, and innovation.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess market trends and business models.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Background in business, finance, economics, engineering, or related fields preferred (though not mandatory).
  • Prior experience in startups, consulting, investment banking, or finance is a plus.
  • An insatiable hunger to learn.
