Electrical Project Coordinator Role

Job Overview:

The Electrical Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in leading and managing electrical works under the Benin Rural Electrification Project. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project schedules, resource allocation, and cost management to ensure timely delivery.
  • Oversee the execution of electrical infrastructure projects, including rural electrification, power distribution lines, substations, and related infrastructure.
  • Monitor progress against schedule, budget, and quality parameters; identify variances and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and international best practices.
  • Pursue business opportunities for project expansion and revenue growth.
  • Ensure timely submission of technical and financial proposals.
  • Maintain a high success rate in bid submissions as per internal targets.
  • Mentor junior project managers and engineers to foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
  • Nurture strong relationships with government officials, contractors, and local communities.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience: Minimum 15+ years in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, specifically in rural electrification or power distribution.
  • International experience is desirable.
  • Strong expertise in rural electrification, power distribution, and project execution.
  • A proven track record of managing medium to large-scale electrical infrastructure projects internationally or in challenging environments.
  • Willingsness to relocate to Benin and travel for site visits and coordination.
