Job Overview

This position is responsible for leading electrical engineering projects, developing project plans and overseeing the execution of EPC type power plant projects. As a seasoned Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely completion of projects.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute project plans, including scope definition, budget preparation, and schedule development.
- Lead a team of engineers and designers in executing EPC type power plant projects, including medium voltage, low voltage, lighting, grounding, electrical equipment control, protective relaying, and associated systems design and construction administration.
- Collaborate with discipline leads, project management teams, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
- Train junior engineers on technical topics related to electrical power plant engineering design and standard electrical engineering software tools like ETAP, SKM, CDEGS, etc.
- Conduct electrical system modeling, including grounding, load flow, short-circuit, and arc-flash analysis, as well as protective relay setting development, calculation, and coordination studies.
- Develop equipment specifications, procure, review vendor drawings, and conduct factory acceptance testing of electrical equipment.
- Prepare engineering cost and man-hour estimates and schedules, as well as creating electrical deliverables like one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, interconnection drawings, equipment layouts, cable schedules, panel schedules, power, grounding and lighting layouts for constructing/installation of new or modifications of existing power generating facility electrical systems.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited program.
- Minimum 11-15 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably with leadership roles in mid to large-size electrical detail design/EPC projects for industrial, petrochemical, or power plant type projects.
- Strong knowledge of ANSI/NEMA, NFPA, NERC, IEEE, CSA, and other international codes and standards, as well as proficiency in software utilizing SKM Power Tools, ETAP, SmartPlant, CDEGS, or similar software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required. Previous consulting engineering experience preferred.
