Job Title: Technical Operations Manager

Overview:

The Technical Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of assigned vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Management: Oversee the technical management and maintenance of assigned vessels, ensuring compliance with international regulations and company standards.
  • Dry Docking & Repairs: Plan, supervise, and coordinate dry-docking, major repairs, and maintenance schedules within budget and timeline.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure vessels comply with international maritime regulations (ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, SOLAS, etc.), class requirements, and company policies.
  • Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations and promote a culture of safety within the fleet.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
  • Chief Engineer (COC Class 1) or equivalent seagoing experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical management of ships, preferably in bulk carriers, tankers, offshore vessels, or container ships.
  • Strong knowledge of ship repair, dry docking, and maintenance planning.
  • Familiarity with classification societies, flag state requirements, and international maritime regulations.

Preferred Skills & Attributes:

  • Experience in managing a fleet of vessels and working with multinational crew and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
